Is it possible to get the alternative English voices in higher quality audio? -

Hi Jackie.

OK, you need to enable language options in the rotor. Go to settings, general, accessibility, voice over then language rotor and enable all the English voices. There are four additional voices available in English, these are Australian, US, South African and Irish in no particular order. Simple flick through the voices and double tap on the ones you want to add to the rotor. Note that the English Daniel voice is the only one available in high quality, if you use any of the others, they will be in the lower quality 11KHZ format as the high quality voice is only downloaded for the default language.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Hi Ibrahim

Could you tell me where I change the voices please? I know it can be done
in Settings, General, and International, but that also alters things like
keyboard and date stipulations for the UK. I have never fiddled about with
the voices much, other than speed, but would be delighted to dump Daniel!
(smile).

Kind Regards,

Hi Jackie.

If you enable the language options in your rotor, you have several English
voices to choose from in a variety of accents, so you don't have to read
using Daniel all the time.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Hi Mark

You use the two-finger gesture to read continuously. I have just downloaded
this app and am playing with it. It is a huge improvement on what it
offered us before. One small wish would be to allow you to choose what
voice you wanted to read your books, now that would be great. Still,
mustn't be greedy, this is a really big leap forward, even though it lets
Amazon off the hook!

Kind Regards,

Jackie Cairns

Hi
Does it speak the books like an audio book, or do you have to scroll down a
line by line to listen to the books.

Hi all,
Not sure if this has been on the list but amazingly I updated the
kindle app on my iphone 4 s and found to my astonishment that now you
can read your kindle books on it.
you have to double tap for menu and when in the menu put your finger
to the top left of the screen to find home etc but sorry if this has
been already discussed.
I am so amazed as if my kindle keybard now goes wrong I have another
very portable alternative. see what you all think try it out.
