Hi John,

You'd have to ask Sight And Sound about Booksense, I'm no longer an official
dealer.

All the best

Steve

Subject: [access-uk] the book sense

hi steve can you tell me the position of the book sense with regards to the
updates. not sure when the last one was done but it is sort of stuck now.
and very very interesting the main stream vs braille devices. just wonder is
there an advantage to using a speciallist braille device over a note taker
say on the net. if i connect my sense or very old apex to my pc it seems as
though i get a line underneath the actual braille. sometimes when reading
from the pc. i am fortunate to have the best of both worlds but i must say
with tellorion for reading and say with a braille display you can get very
good access much cheaper now than purchasing a speciallist braille note
taker. the internet on the tellorion is better than my sense and apex and
ian correctly pointed out how slow and because of the hardware how behind
our braille note takers are on the web. it is a very very interesting topic
just wish something like a 40 cell display was not so damn expensive
