I have filled my tax return online; that part is manageable, but registering
with the Government gateway is not so easy and in all likelihood you will need
sighted assistance. I registered via the Post Office, and I had to scan a
photograph in and send it to them. It was all rather a pain, but once done, you
can easily access the gateway and facilities.

The first thing that you have to do is register with the government gateway.

this is the front door to a number of government facilities.
I refuse to call them "services"!
One such is your tax form submission.
I use it for VAT and alcohol returns, but not personal taxation as this is
handled by my accountant.
