Just looked on Argos and they have two radio controlled watches, but neither
of them are talking ones. The RNIB price is £34.95 but they are currently
out of stock.

I have a talking watch which resets itself at 3 a.m. each day. Actually,
very occasionally it doesn't, but it is pretty reliable. It came from a
company called Coopers of Stortford, which is based at Bishop's Stortford in
Hertfordshire. There website used to be extremely inaccessible, but I have
just looked at it and it is now very much better. You can find the watch at

and I copy the information below. The voice is female American and fairly
clear. All adjustments have sound prompts so it is easy to set and use.
The face is fairly large, so may not suit a lady such as yourself, but it is
not the largest I have seen. I think RNIB are about to market a watch which
resets itself, so it may well be the same one. the cost is £39.99. Here is

Hi there
My talking watch died on me the other day and I'd decided that it wasn't
that big a deal as there's a clock on my mobile phone, until I was at the
hospital yesterday where I had to keep the phone turned off.
so, I'm looking for a decent talking watch, didn't someone a while back
mention one that sets itself like the rnib's radio controlled clock does,
does this talk and did i get my facts right?
Any ideas welcome.
