whilst I agree six hours or more listening to a synthetic voice delivering a
talking newspaper may be a tad gauling, provided it is broken into tracks, I
don't see the problem.  I much prefer to have items as in print, willing to
bear some peculiarities associated with (say) Daniel's reading and the
somewhat odd inflections we have, but for six hours?  No!  We want
information, it is delivered in the cheapest way possible, remember
volunteers could often be good but then again, absolutely dire and
excruciating!

We can't please everybody all the time, there must somewhere be compromize.
