Hi,
Yes, it is Voice Search.
But why do you need sighted help to sort out apps?

Hi Steve
Ok thanks, is google voice the same as voice search? Yes I
noticed that there were many apps, one or two I will need
sighted assistance to sort out which I will do tomorrow.
Thanks again.
Regards
Adrien

Hi Adrian,
You can use Google Voice Assistant in place of Siri, then
you can get
Tune-In Radio for your radio listening. Then get something
like Pocketcasts
if you like podcasting.
There are as many apps for Android now as iOS that are
accessible thank
goodness.
Oh and Google voice is way faster than Siri. It doesn't
have the sense of
humour, but it gets right to the data you want.
All the best

Hi Carol
It is a 7 inch nexus 7, the size of a bar of chocolate, the
keyboard makes it so much easier for me to use, just got to
learn to navigate it. I am in two minds whether to sell the
ipad as it is great for music and radio and other things,
siri for one. Plus I have spent a lot on apps. I am just
waiting until I move on Wednesday before I order the leather
case for the tablet, have several things to sort out, so one
thing at a time. If anyone has any recommendations for great
apps let me know please.
Regards
Adrien

Hi Adrien,
I'm really pleased you're doing better with this. What is it
that makes
it easier for you to manage? How large is it?
Anyway, I'm sure you'll get some help here.
Cheers.

I have just got an android tablet, an nexus 7, so far I am
finding it much easier for me to use than my ipad, a bit
tricky to navigate but I seem to be getting on with it far
better. I would like to put some apps on it, have done a
few, skype, facebook, firefox, but would like others. Are
there apps for bus time tables, listening to music and
radio? Also echo link for ham radio? What apps do other
people use? I think I may have fun with this gadget. Also
what apps do you use for listening to epub books? Are
any useful tutorials out there please?link:-
