[access-uk] strange problem

Hi
I am currently using a braillenote PK with compact flash cards for extra
storage.
When backing these files up on a computer, I have annoyingly found that some
files or folders have disappeared completely without me having deleted them in
any way. Is there any way to get these back?
Any help would be appreciated.
