Hi.
I have a Yamaha soundbar which I purchased from amazon for £299, they often
have a good selection of premium models at this price point. My soundbar has
Alexa built-in, in fact those of you who are familiar with he GGMM series of
speakers will find that this soundbar has the same integrated circuitry as
those speakers, the start-up sound when the soundbar powers on and the app
layout being strikingly similar will attest to this. This soundbar has DTS
virtual surround sound, it also has a wireless subwoofer and Clear Voice which
is very useful for those with hearing impairments as Clear Voice emphasises
vocals when activated making them clearly audible without needing to raise the
volume too much. There is HDMI ARC support, digital optical, Bluetooth,
Spotify connect to name but a few of the features of this bar. The only thing
that annoys me and is apparently a common feature of most high end equipment
these days is that it has a panel of touch sensitive controls which can easily
be activates and for which there is no easily definable tactile or other
markings, in fact all you have is a series of LED lights to tell you the
functions activated and status of your connection to the network. More than
once I have activated a control function such as the mute for the microphone,
though I believe there is a child lock function to stop these buttons from
being activated. It comes with a remote control which has pre-sets for sound
modes including music, movies, sports, the 3d virtualisation and clear voice
and the base can be boosted or the sub volume controlled separately to the
soundbar. This is the Yamaha YAS209 and I'm very happy with my purchase
considering the price I paid.
All the best, Ibrahim.

Hi Caroline
I think it is fair to say that the lower the price, the less quality you will
get from a soundbar. A lot of them have Alexa or Google Assistant
capabilities, but how easy that means during setup through an app, I honestly
couldn't say. I guess it depends what you want to spend, what room you have to
place it, and whether you want added functionality.
Kind regards,
Jackie Brown

We have an LG TV and I have been considering getting a soundbar to improve the
sound quality.
As LG make soundbars themselves, would there be any advantage getting one of
their own in preference to a Sonos or Sony or any other make? They seem to
range in price from around £60 upwards.
Caroline.

The move only has a USB C port which is an alternative to the charging stand.
