Hi Jim

I think it would be possible to order from the Apple UK website and return
the item if you really felt it was not for you.

Believe me when I say I was in the same place as yourself and Hazel. My son
was over at the time I had my iPhone 4, and he said I had a look of torture
on my face when trying to use it. He got the phone, I went back to Talks,
and then I felt I had let it beat me. So I persisted with my iPod Touch,
and eventually decided that I would have an iPhone, but not as something I
ever wanted to be afraid of. It came together in the end, just as others
have said.

There is a lot out there you could tap into for encouragement such as
podcasts and tutorials. I think there is an excellent book Anna Dresner
wrote about getting started with the iPhone which you can order in various
formats from RNIB.

Like you, being surrounded by countryside and peace is one of the things I
love most as well, so go down the online route if you can and take advantage
of what resources are available to start your journey!

Good luck, and just ask if you need help.

Kind regards,

Jackie Brown
