have now tried this a couple of times on the box that 996 isn't working on, but
no luck, so still isn't working.

I have a very old sky digibox and 996 is booming in on it no problem.
I also have the sky q and 996 is barely audible there.
Don't know if that's the HDMI connection as the scart lead certainly works a
lot better with the old box.
I use the digibox to receive UK EPG as ITV and BBC radio etc are not very
easily accessed on the q box here in Ireland

since channel 996 is still not working, is there an easy way to get an up
to date list of sky channel numbers, as sky seem to have messed about with a
lot of them again, and it is proving next to impossible to find my usual
channels with out the good old 996.
