Jackie,

We've just bought a Tosh. Which one do you have and have you found the code to link yours! There are heaps of codes for the Tosh and the guy at our hifi shop today gave me several more that I hadn't got from our book; so the mind boggles ...

Hi Will and Sandra

Our signal is poor on Freeview. It isn't the built-in
Freeview on our Tosh TV or the TVonics, it's just the
signal strength. We also use a booster which the chaps
installed when they put up a digital roof aerial for us.
We get a message on the screen saying "low signal", and
we often get spitting, but it doesn't do it all the time,
and I've made a few recordings on the TVonics now and
they play. It's just that the programme can be
interrupted with this horrible spitting, juddering sound
that sounds like a bird in distress or something. It can
be quite loud and make you jump as it's louder than the
volume on the TV when it spits, but hopefully we'll
benefit when analogue is turned off, least that's the
plan!

Kind Regards,

Jackie Cairns

Hi William,

I know where you are coming from even though I haven't
had the same thing as

you but I think that in some areas the signal is not
strong enough. Have you thought about getting a signal
booster? they are not very expensive you can get one
for £7.00 which you should be able to buy from any
aerial shack or most likely off eBay. I might have to
get one for myself.

Also have you wrote to tvonics I have, they should
actually be able to advise you as well. Unfortunately
there is no contact number for tvonics but they do have
email.

I hope this helps.

hi all, my freeview receiver is mounted on the wall
outside the block of flats where i live and its signal is
terrible with this new RNIB freeview box, i keep losing
signal, anyone else had this?
i assume whether i use scart or HDMI shouldn't make a
difference?
only noticed this recently when I check the service
status only getting 38 to 40 percent signal on channels,
strange as the west midlands area have changed over
fully to freeview.
with the portset freeview and the goodmans, had no
problemw with the freeview. my cables are all connected
firmly fromw what i can tell
