Hi

The SL565 announces callers that are already in the phone's directory provided they do not withhold their numbers.

It also announces caller ID of all other other numbers according to the manual, provided your network provides caller Id and again the caller does not withhold their number.

In addition to the above voice announcements, you can allocate numbers in the phone's directory as VIP and assign a specific ringtone to each.

The SL565 answering machine can record calls in progress too.

The answering machine has both an answer and record mode as well as an answer mode only.

Hi Deon,

Good to know that another gigaset is accessible.

How does the caller id work on the sl565?

Does it only announce callers that it knows i.e. from the phonebook or does
it announce all incomming calls?

Also, the C450 and C475 seem to have the same menu tree.

I opted for the s675 as I thought the ability to record a call in progress
would be useful.

Good to see some accessible products when the norm seems to be less
accessibility.
