Hi Steve

I love it all! (smile). Audible or Kindle are great sources for immediacy,
and when a book is not in the RNIB TB library. Isn't it strange how trends
change? Spending our pocket-money on records was the order of the day when
I was growing up, now it's spending money on book credits!!

Hi,

I know we have to pay for the books, but long live Kindle and Audible I say.
Then again, we have to pay for an RNIB sub anyway, so may as well just buy
the books and enjoy them. Besides there's a bigger range.

All the best

Steve

Hi Hazel

What I do is keep a Word copy of my entire book list which is very long. I
always ask for the books to be sent at random so that I don't receive more
than one book at a time by the same author. There is a Random button so the
list can be shuffled.

If, however, I wanted what you do, and wished to have a complete series sent
in the correct order, I would specifically ask for it or it would end up as
you have discovered!

I once asked for one book, and ended up having the entire series added to my
list which wasn't what I requested at all. What with the discrepancies at
RNIB, and talking books getting lost in the post or in the system, I can't
wait for the digital service to become a reality. Reading has become such a
huge part of my life now, I give over most of my spare time to listening to
talking books or downloads from Audible.

Good luck.

Am I the only person with this problem?
I have decided to read a series of 16 books from the above.
7 books were extras and the rest went onto my list.
Now any sensible person would I hope send these out in reading order,
not the above.
I have book 1 then others in all sorts of positions throughout the series.
I can see exactly what they have done, sent them out from the catalogue
listing straight down the list which is not in reading order.
I have tackled them and await a call back.
Do you not think in these days of technology they could get this very
important thing correct.
Am I expecting far too much?
Views please.
