Just to add to this, I think its something to do with the particular web site as right clicking other pdf files work fine.

Hi George, Yes there is. As well as loading the file in adobe a separate IE page pops up with nothing in it, when I refresh that page I get the save as dialogue and I can save the pdf directly off the page.

Its really strange but at least I have all the files I wanted now.

Hi Yusef,

It could be that the security is tied up with the actual PDF
file itself. Is there a Save or Save As option available in
Adobe Reader if you simply open it?

George.

Hi, This morning I went to download a pdf file from a web
site using the
right click save target as, something I've done on numerous
occasions in the
past. However instead of getting the save as dialogue I got
a message saying
that my current security settings do not allow this file to
be saved. I've
had a look in IE's options at both the security settings for
Internet and
the advanced tab sheet but apart from the download options
which seemed to
be set correctly, I couldn't find anything relevant.

Can anyone tell me which setting I need to alter that will
allow me to save
as I used to?

Oddly if I hit enter on the file Adobe opens as usual and
loads the file. Oh
and if it is relevant I have just updated adobe.
