Hi Eleanor Ok I think there must be a querk with one of the Samsung up-dates as this problem only happened after Samsung up-dated last week. Perhaps somebody can let me know if there is an e-mail address for Samsung tech support so that I can let them know. I know there problem wasn't there before last weekend as my mum was using the netbook and filming my dogs so if the screen was wrong then she would have sorted it. I haven't got the avast uninstall program as yet, I know it is up-dating so I'll leave it for now. My mum corrected the problem for me.Sheopened up the properties on the desktop, double clicked on the properties for the graphics and had to rotate it by 90 degrees or whatever.
