[access-uk] scanner

Hi All,
I need a new scanner - one that is easily installed and usable by a
totally blind person. Would appreciate any suggestions, and thanks for any
replies.
My old scanner was a Canon, and I was never happy with its connection
with its USB cable on the scanner, which was always wobbly, and not very
positive!
Must be a plug and play model.
