Ask them to play the book in the sections where you were having difficulty.

Yes, this is the problem. When I sent my Ptr1 back for a repair because it
wouldn't play certain discs, including a daisy book bought from them, they sent
it back saying there was nothing wrong with it! Nowhere else to go
unfortunately. My player is just sat in a drawer now! -

    Hi Hazel.

RNIB are the only people in the UK who service this machine I believe,
they’re the main distributor for Plextalk products in this country as well. I
believe Plextalk may have a european operation but I haven’t checked this, if
so you could approach them, otherwise its the japanese company who make the
product.

    All the best, Ibrahim.

    Hello to all
Is there anyone out there who could give us the name and number of a
company who could repair our P T N 1 Daisy book reader ?
R N I B repaired it about 18 months ago and made a complete pigs ear on the
job, so for this reason we will not go back to them.
We have contacted Force 10, Human wareand sight and sound but they couldn't
help, so I am asking all listers.
    Thanks in advance.
