I don't have that problem, because I use Outlook to store my contacts, and
just Sync the phone.

Hi Steve
Thanks. Now downloaded correct files and phone working well. Now comes the
arduous task of resetting the settings and sorting out the contacts. Why is
it that when yu back up the contact list to your memory card it leaves all
sorted and tidy and returns in a complete mess. It's like taking your
beatifully grommed guide dog for a run in the woods on a wet day.
