[access-uk] Re: recording an audio described program on to DVd

So, it doesn't work, never tried it as we sometimes loose the signal on the channels with the A D as they're so far up the numbering system so if I have to record I use the ordinary hcannels but have often wondered if you can record the A D, take it you can't.

Hi Tony, I'm pritty sure that the DVd was being recorded from the same channel as the one I was watching with the audio description playing.
Thanks
Yusuf

Hello,
I have no problem using sky satalite channels and a vcr, but the Audio description is not on every channel, for example here in Wales channel is Itv1, but there is no Audio descriptiion on that channel, I have to use 963, so I wonder if your recorder was recording a differant channel to the one with the Audio description.

   Best wishes, Tony Pearce.

Hi all, Not sure if anyone will know the answer to this but couldn't think of anywhere else to ask.

I recently purchased a panasonic VCR and DVD recorder and last night used it to record Judge John Deed on to DVd. Using my IPlayer I had turned on audiodescription which worked fine during the program. But when I came to checking the DVD afterwards even though the program recorded fine there was no audiodescription.

The DVD conbi is connected through the iplayer should not the audiodescription have been recorded alongside the program?

Thanks for any help
Yusuf
