Not only that, they still produce firmware even for discontinued models. I
don't even think Netgear do that.

Virgin Superhub 2
I would echo Steve's recommendation here.
Over the years I have had several Draytek routers.
Yes, they are somewhat expensive for a home router, but I think they are
worth it.
I have tried the BT Homehub and after a while decided that it was not up to
the job in my view.
I have tried one of the cheaper routers and decided that they too are not up
to the job.
The Draytek I currently have has a good useable interface and lots of
functionality. Yes, it is probably more of a small business router rather
than a home router but I believe that its functional range and in-built
security is worth the outlay.

Hi,
I don't know of one with eight Ethernet ports, but my Draytek 2860N has 6.
I would go for the 286AC though, as it's newer than mine. They are superb
routers, if a little expensive.

I want too put my Virgin Superhub 2 into modem mode and attach a external
router/hub/WAP box to it.
Can anyone recommend one? Preferably with an accessable web admin and
8 ethernet ports, and that is known to work with Virgin's router.
Thanks.
