Ok I realised it would be simple or so so, but with windows 10 I have a lot to
learn. I need to share my printer, it is not wifi. I do have another one but it
has stopped working.
Thanks for the help with the list view. Is there a handy list of shortcuts
please?

Hi adrien.
It doesn't matter whether you use a wired connection or wireless connection.
Networking should work fine if you choose the appropriate options. In its most
basic form, you have to set both machines to use username and password
authentication to link to each other, then specify the folders you want shared.
Both machines would also have to be in the same work group. I would be more
than happy to lend a hand, though it could take up to an hour or possibly more
to get things up and running.
Finally, when in any folder to get it in to list view, press control alt and
the number 6. To get it in to detailed view which may be better, try control
alt and the number 5.
