Hi Barbra.

You don't happen to have the catalog number do you?

All the best, Ibrahim.

Wow, is that really a netbook? I think it is a notebook rather than a netbook.

I received my Windows 7 netbook for Christmas. It has Windows 7
Starter, 1GB of RAM and the usual netbook specs. I find the programs
run well, however maybe with another gig it might speed up the loading
times of them. Still debating on that though and will give it a few
months, as I'm not sure is the delay is the RAM or the processor
(Intel Atom N270). Otherwise I'm happy with the performance of the
netbook. All netbooks so far come with a 32 bit operating system,
because the processor cannot handle 64 bit instructions. Hope this
helps for now.

Hiya.

Firstly, can someone please tell me what the differences are between
Win 7 Starter and other editions.

Secondly, I notice most of the netbooks still have 1gb ram, but I'm
wondering if this would be enough to run Win 7, Jaws or System
Access, which I am thinking of trying out as I won't be getting an
external cd/dvd drive straight away. Then anything else on top like
skype etc. I imagine not, but am happy to be corrected.

When it comes to Win 7, are all netbooks 64 bit now? On the websites
I've been looking on, it doesn't say. Does System Access or even
SAtogo work with 64 bit?

I've had a look at a lot of them as far as the keyboards go, and I
like them, though some are better defined than others as far as
arrows, enter etc.

I've even seen a few with vista on, but I thought with win 7, vista
would and could never be put on 1, as it's so resource hungry. I've
decided I don't want to use XP on a netbook, as being a Vista user on
this laptop, I feel it would be a step backward.

Thanks for answering in advance and happy new year to all.

Jill.
