Timeless classics you say? If the book is out of copyright then you can often get them for free from either of these sites. http://librivox.org/ http://www.audiobooksforfree.com/screen_main.asp Regards Richard Clifford Product Sales and Marketing Coordinator Products and Publications Tel: 01733 37 52 79 mailto:richard.clifford@xxxxxxxxxxx Browse our Online Shop at www.rnib.org.uk/shop Sign up to our YouTube Channel at http://www.youtube.com/rnibprods -----Original Message----- From: access-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Ibrahim Gucukoglu Sent: 14 November 2012 09:54 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: question about books Hi Sandra. Precisely LOLOL, now with Talking Books on CD and with Audible probably the best site around for audio books, that just wouldn't happen. My only wish is that Audible would get some more of these timeless classics we used to enjoy reading on cassette from the publisher in a digital form, it's all to do with the rights apparently having expired as the publisher can only make a book available in Audio for a limited time as its part of the bidding contract process. All the best, Ibrahim. -----Original Message----- From: whizza Sent: Tuesday, November 13, 2012 5:27 PM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: question about books Oh dear! I used to get books on cassette from my local library and I remember getting one book, Snow Wolf by Glen Meade, which was a huge book, about twenty hours or so. I read through it, thoroughly enjoying it, until I got to the last tape. Guess what? It was broken! Those were the days! Cheers, Sandra. ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq To report this e-mail as Spam, please forward it to: spam@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx -- November is Switch on to technology month!
