You can just purchase books but they are much cheaper if you are a member. So if you want more than just 1 or 2 titles you would probably do better to take out a subscription plan, buy up a number of titles and then unsubscribe. You can go through and put together a shopping list (wish list) without being a member to see what the overall cost of your selection versus the cost of getting them free in exchange for monthly membership would be. Monthly membership being £8 a month for 1 title a month or £15 for 2 a month. What you can’t unfortunately see I don’t think is how much any given title would cost if you were to join but as a very rough guide for members most abridged titles cost between 5 and 10 pounds, and unabridged title between 10 and £20 although some of the ery large or new titles do still cost up to£40 for members which is when it is well worth purchasing these as part of a subscription plan.
