to me, that doesn't stack up, as many people can get iPhones via there 
mobile providers, and pay a hell of a lot less for them.
I only paid £150 for my 64GB 4s for example via O2.

hi it is because of the support needs and the low numbers produced.
just have a look at how many iphones were sold on the first day of release.
now look at how many oasis phones have been sold by the RNIB.
and it was £200 less.
