Hi Pete
I received an email from Calibre library today telling me that I could now
download books through the Dolphin easy reader. it is asking me for a username
and password and I don't know these. I tried to telephone Calibre library only
to hear that they are closed temporarily due to the virus which is very
unfortunate on the day that Calibre launches the new service for audiobooks.
i'm wondering if you could throw any light on it for me please.
kind regards
Eleanor

hi eleanor,
thanks for your experiences with the app, it would be very helpful if you
could send me details of the problems you encountered.
calibre agree with you about having to re-enter your membership number, and
that is why in the next update the app will automatically remember the
membership number for you but you would still need to enter the 4 digit pin
number when re-entering the app and again this has to be done to ensure the
app is only used by authorised members.
the reason i say most of the calibre members are not advanced users may sound
agist but it isn't ment that way but the majority of members are elderly, i
am now 67 but the average age of the members makes me feel very young.
lots of members even found it quite difficult to swap from cassette to cds,
and with it becoming harder and harder to obtain suitable cd players that
have the bookmark function that is essential the day will come when
everything will be non cd.
this is why the app has to be as simple as possible to try and make it usable
by the first time novice.
again any suggestions you have that would make it easier for people to use
would be appreciated, several of the improvements in the next version of the
app are things that were suggested by members.
