There isn't really an issue, but I just said that I personally would really prefer to purchase all parts (charger, etc) from supplier to start with.

if the exchange for the same output and input power supply Derek I cannot see where the issue lies.

Don't forget the seller is legally responsible if things do go

So if RNIB takes a part out of the box, and replaces with another
part, there would be a good reason for this.

If I remember correctly, Humanware do mention in the manual that other

chargers can be used though, personally, I'd rather purchase together
with
the charger they supply. I certainly think, if RNIB want to send
their own
supplied charger, people should be aware of this before ordering in
case
they feel like me, that it's best at least to start with the machine
working
correctly with all the supplied parts.

Hi Ian

According to humanware, these are not what they put in the
boxes when they ship the streams, have to confirm it but
rnib is replacing them. The technical guys at humanware tell
me that they supply a 1 piece usb plug.

Are these the chargers where the prong unit is fitted on to
a base? If so,
they are becoming more common. Typically you will have a
two-prong European
and a three-prong British mains connector which slips on to
the unit with
the USB connector.

Hi

Has anyone tried to assemble one of the new usb power
adapters supplied by rnib for the new vr streams, they come
in 2 pieces, I couldn't work it out, mum had to do it for me
but even she had difficulty. I contacted humanware to ask
them how to do it but apparently it is not what they supply,
the chargers supplied by humanware is in one piece. They
think rnib is substituting them. Anyway please let me know
if others have problems putting these chargers together,
they are a similar shape and size to the mains chargers for
the original stream but are usb.

Regards

Adrien
