Thanks for that Henry.

Yes I was just pointing it out really.  I know there is a lot of technology out
there but some of us just like something which is pure and simple.  Sorry if I
sound a bit lazy but I just liked the idea of just been able to switch a button
and on it comes.  I like the sonus because you can switch or press the button
and it tells you what station you are listening to, turn the station button and
it tells you the name of the station or if its not available it will speak and
say, station not available or station off air, plus you can set an alarm to
wake you up, that is easy to set.  I was just merely pointing out that there
doesn’t appear to be anything on the market like that.

But you have got that right Henry.

Thanks.

It's reassuring that you sell goods for the totally blind.  I think Sandra

that they use the term "Blind" for PR and fund raising purposes, but the
general public do not realise that only about 4% of the visually impaired
population are totally blind.

Kind regards

Hi Sandra,

I'm not sure I'd be quite so gloomy about it, but I agree that some things
are simply not there any longer.  Our web site though has some 150
products specifically for us blind people.  We don't do magnification,
because everyone else does.

All the best

Steve

I do the exact same as well.

I don’t know what I will do when it eventually goes completely.  I have
had mine since the early 90s and its still going strong.

I have been looking around for Digital talking radios.  There doesn’t seem
to be a lot out there to my liking.  I even went on to the British radio
for the blind.  I was quite shocked as none of them seem to talk to you,
well not like the sonus does.  Even though they have easy to see this and
easy to use.

so I have actually called them up and put my grievances.  I am waiting now
for someone to get back to me.

I just feel that sometimes the completely blind people get left behind
these days and to say that they are a charity for the blind which I know
doesn’t mean that everyone is blind.  But for the minority that are, there
doesn’t seem to be anything for us.

Sandra.

Hi Jim,
From time to time, my Sonus wil stop speaking and no audio can be heard.

Whenever this happens, i just unplug the unit, plug it back in and all
is well again.

Hi List,

My Pure Sonus talking dab radio has suddenly stopped working.  There
is power going to the unit and when I plug in headphones I can hear some
hiss.

Are there specific keystrokes to re-set or initialise the unit?
All help welcome.
