Yes I use the calendar on my phone, it looks as if I have
accidentally set a memo as a default setting, I will look at
what you say. Thanks.

I do not use my phone in the way you describe but I am
wondering if perhaps
you altered the standby screen from active or whatever. I
wold suggest you
go to Menu and Settings and agin to settings when you arrow
down the list.
Then choose General then personalisation and then standby
mode. You should
then have a list, mine is set to home screen basic and below
that is
short-cuts. If you go in to basic you will have 6 options.
Select the one
you want. I do not know which one you want but jif you play
around by
selecting each one in turn you will find out which is the
origional one you
had it set to.
