Finding the typing options isn't particularly straightforward. The option
only appears on the rota if you are in Notes, Messages or E-mails or
somewhere else where you can write.
When turning the rota for me I find "hints", "braille screen input and the
very next one offers you your typing input options.
But it is easy to think it isn't there for whilst it is on the "braille
input" option it is in landscape so when you turn the rota, it announces
"portrait" to show you are back in portrait mode. However, stay here and
swipe down with one finger and you should find the typing options.
