Not in Vista. It's in Programs: Accessories.

George.

Not George but Run should be in your Start menu.

Pardon me George.

Thanks for the link, but I'm slightly confused. It says on the page
to click start, then click run. I can't find run in my start menu.
Should it be there, or does it mean that I type the word run in the
search box?

Thanks.

  Hi Jill,

It's a known problem, but there is a Microsoft Knowledge Base
article on it..

  Hi.

  J 10 with latest update, W V Premium.

I've had this problem for a long time now, and wonder if anyone has
any ideas on how I can fix it.

I ran a full system scan with Defender and no problems were
reported. Since then, each time I switch on my comp I get the
following message:

Application failed to initialize: 0x800106ba. A problem caused
this program's service to stop. To start the service, restart your
computer or search help and support for how to start the service
manually.

Then there's an Okay button which I click on to get rid of it. I
tried restarting the machine, but to no avail. I also tried starting
it through the programs list, but still the same. I've also tried
getting windows to search for a solution to fix this problem, but
nothing. I have a feeling Defender has become corrupt in some way,
but don't know how. any ideas what's gone wrong and how to rectify it
please?

  Thanks.

  Jill.
