HI list, has anyone got this sort of keyboard. along the top, the function keys, are in four lots of three, starting from the left. then, there three more keys, but instead of being in one group, they are two keys, then a space, and a third key. this last key, seems to control the control keys on the keyboard, and when i first boot up in the morning, i have to operate this key, otherwise, simple operations such as alt-f4, to close an application won't work. the two keys next to this key, is scroll-lock on and off, and then, insert and print screen. this key is the key immediately after the four groups of keys, that i described before. my problem is this, i want to do a screen shot, but when i press the key which is named insert and print screen, all i get is insert. incidentally, i am using xp, and wineyes5.0.
my reason for wanting to do a screen shot, is this. i am using finereader6 professional as an ocr. for some reason, i can't get in to its options, either with control-shift and o, or by going in to the menues, arrowing to tools, and arrowing up to options. if i do this, i am told that options is disabled. the moment i scan something new, i have no trouble reaching options. it doesn't matter whether, i have any pages from a previous batch loaded or not, without scanning something new, i am stuck. abbyy_finereader technical support, with which i have been speaking, say that they can do nothing without a picture of my screen. if anyone can help, either by telling me how to make the insert-print screen, print the screen,or if they have ever had this trouble with finereader6, how they solved it. i would be grateful. i would really like to solve both problems, in case i need to do a screen shot in the future. thanks in anticipation, brian.
