Hi Mark.

Fine Reader from Abbyy is a powerful optical character recognition OCR program, it allows you to convert paper documents you scan in to text whilst retaining the layout of the text, then export those results in to a variety of external programs. The sprint edition is a limited version of the software which has some basic functions and which is bundled with some budget all in one and scanner devices.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Hi Mark.

The XP305 definatly, it is their cheapest option but it is a multifunction all in one machine with WiFi connectivity and a full software offering including Fine Reader Sprint, a cut down copy of Fine Reader but which has all the functions of a good basic OCR package.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Hi Ibrahim
Thanks for that. You also mention budgets. If I were looking at the lower
end, as I will not do a lot of printing and it will mainly be letters and
stuff, what might you recommend?
thanks

Hi Ibrahim
You sent this message some time ago about printers. You mentioned getting
the ink very cheaply but I don't think you finished the web address.

Hi Mark

Have a look at the Epson workforce range of printers. These are all in one devices which have an automatic document feeder as well as a print, scan and fax capabilities not to mention photo copy. They come in a variety of configurations depending on your budget, the one I have is the WF 3520 and the ink's can be obtained a very cheaply from incredible.
