Lasers use a very fine powder as do commercial photocopiers which is why I thought they may not suffer the drying problems which liquid ink does. I will most certainly be looking seriously at replacing my Epson C86 with a laser in the not too distant future. The Epson is a very good printer indeed, probably the best I've had but I feel it's time to move away from ink.

Thanks Ray, I get it now. Whilst these cost maybe twice what ink cartridges do, the much lower price per sheet of printing with lasers means a long term saving. This might be a ridiculous question, but I will ask it anyway. Do laser printers use no ink at all? -----Original Message----- ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq __________ NOD32 2537 (20070918) Information __________ This message was checked by NOD32 antivirus system. http://www.eset.com ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
