Hi David,

Bluetooth speakers tend only to ahve a 10 meter range, so I don't think
you'll get 30 meters with Bluetooth.

All the best

Subject: [access-uk] portable bluetooth speaker

Hi

Now that the warmer weather is arriving, I would like some means whereby I
could play music from my desktop pc using a wireless Bluetooth sspeaker. I
do not have Bluetooth on my pc, and would like a speaker with rechargeable
battery.

I know nothing about such things, but I seem to recall that you can obtain a
Bluetooth dongle which connects to the computer's USB socket. If this is
so, does anyone have any recommendations?

As for the speaker, it does not have to be stereo, just reasonable sound
quality, and of course Bluetooth. I would need to listen outside, with my
computer being in an upstairs room, so the signal would need to travel say
thirty metres. I would also want fairly straightforward connectivity, so
that I would not have to search for the Bluetooth connection each time I
turn on.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received. I do not wish to spend too
much money, but £50 or £60 would be fine.
