hi all i have made a very interesting podcast named windows 8.1 first looks part 2 In my long podcast of about 1 hour 23 minutes on windows 8.1 first looks part 2, I combine two topics. In the first part which runs for about 53 minutes. I show all the apps with jaws, which I previously showed with nvda, yes jaws 14.0.4004 works with windows 8.1 however jaws versions before that, do not work. I first start off by showing the store app. I find many improvements with store and jaws. Then I show how u can install a metro app from store which has changed drastically from windows 8 installation of metro apps are now more simple. Then I look at the app I installed in the podcast called Facebook now which is a chat app which I find accessible with windows 8.1. Then I show the music app and jaws was not reading the app very nicely. I also look at the windows reader app, which is helpful to read pdf files but is not accessible with jaws and nvda. I finally rap the first part up by demonstrating the weather app, which reads nicely with jaws. In Second part which runs for 31 minutes. I do a full turnaround of what I was doing in the first part. I first show u how u can create a recovery bootable usb/optical drive. Then I show u how u can backup files on windows 8 and higher using file history, which is like time machine on the Mack.
