URGH!  Seems this doesn't apply to all models.  On my N95 it
is indeed * key twice.

The * key (bottom left) is usually used to bring up the
symbol selection screen, which is what it appears you have.

On Nokia's it is usually the hash key you hit twice quickly.

That's the one bottom right, below the 9 key and right of
the zero.

I can't make it work.  Even if I hit the 8* key twice, the
phone still says
select symbol.  Any other ideas?
