Hi George,

Please see my correction in the previous message, but no it is not flip, it
was late at night when I wrote it. Sorry.

Hi Steve,

If the 3230 is a flip phone, you'd better tell Nokia that the picture on
their web site is wrong.

George.

Hi Graham,

The 6260 is not the only phone that is a flip. There are three. The 3230,
6260 and the N90, are all flip phones.
And yes, they all work with Talks.

a few things andy.

Firstly go to www.nuance.com/talks and click on the compatible phones list.
read comments relating to each phone.

You could always then join the recycle-it list by sending a blank email to
recycle-it-subscribe@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and ask if anyone is selling that kind
of phone. You may also want to go to a local shop such as carphone
warehouse and take a look at any phones you think are suitable before
buying. I think the only phone available with a flip (also known as a clam
shell design) is the Nokia 6260 (appoligies if I have the model number
slightly incorrect). This phone is reported to be easy to use and quite
tactile but not particularly small. You will probably have to make
compromises therefore.

Cheers

Graham

Subject: [access-uk] phone recommendation

Hi all.

I'm thinking of buying a mobile phone with talks and would not mind any
recommendations. I'd prefer one with a flap or cover to keep the phone
clean and free from accidental button presses. I'd also like a small case
for attachment to my belt to hold it on as I'll be using it mostly while
working in the garden or when shopping. If possible I'd also like one which
has quite good tactile qualities and I don't really require texting or
similar internet or video facilities. Finally, as I'm a very poor person,
I'd like to advertise for a second hand one on the Re-Cycle list so make and
model serial numbers would also be welcomed. Thanks. Best wishes. Andy.
