Hello all,

BT is just one organisation involved in the coalition, and while it may be
worth airing the subject of their own commitment to accessibility, and even
to doubt or question it on list, let's be sure that the discussion doesn't
put people off the campaign.

Best,

Clive

I am reminded of the RNIB stance on similar issues. Apparently the RNIB
where to challenge the government on matters of accessibility but as we ( or
some of us have seen) recent changes in the RNIB web site, the shop in
particular leave one shaking ones head in bewilderment.
Are we to see the same with BT? all fine words to draw favourable attention
while their services begin to decline?

I do hope I am proven wrong on this matter but I see a pattern emerging.

BT should get their own house in order before 'supporting' anything like

Dear all,

The One Voice coalition, comprised of organisations that work for disabled
people, with other organisations like BT, who support the cause, have set up
a petition to seek commitment from all leading political partners,
toimproving digital inclusion for older and disabled people. This can be
done by strengthening the law to make accessible websites a must for
everyone. Please take a moment to sign the petition, and also to forward the
email, post it on Facebook or tweet about it.
