Hi,

Ensure that the Freeuk account is the only account in the list - the
Yahoo one should be removed completely. Also ensure you are using no
SMTP authentication with the Freeuk account - if you are dialed in with
Freeuk you don't need any form of SMTP authentication.

Andrew.

Subject: [access-uk] password related connection problemwhen in Outlook
Express.

Hi all,

Can anyone throw some light on the following please.

When I first set this account up with freeuk I also had a yahoo account.
I then had a problem because the Yahoo account had a slightly different
address and needed authentication for the outgoing server.

Because I am not on BT I had to tell the system to connect to the net
using freeuk even when I wanted to access yahoo.to

When I tried to log on today I had the following problems:
1. my freeuk account was saying that the password was invalid 2. When
I log on (even though I have deleted the Yahoo account), I am still
getting a dialogue box asking for the user name and password. I thought
this was only needed with the yahoo account which I have deleted.

If I do manage to send this message to the list, Please could someone
advise me on how I can get rid of the dialogue box which seems to want
authentication because it is stopping me connecting to the net when in
Outlook Express, although I can connect to Internet Explorer with no
problems.

Thank you in advance for your help.
