Christine, it's because now and again her Outlook Express stops responding. I
know she had some disk errors the other day, so maybe that's the cause. So,
short of starting over again on her laptop, I suggested Outlook for her. I find
it works better with POP/SMTP servers than IMAP servers, but that's just my
opinion.

Hannah, I'm not having this issue here. However, if you want to, we can set
up Outlook to access Gmail. I know you may hate Outlook, but this may be due to
lack of confidence in using the programme. Hope this helps.

noticed a slight problem with it. Sometimes it loads up fine but other times
when i'm using it the programe says it's not responding. so i have to restart
the programe then it seems fine again. any one had this ishue
