Yes, it will work if you're on Wi-Fi.

Hi Steve, I've cancelled gifgaf now, so it won't work would it? I refuse to
commit to a contract until I know I can get it working.

Hi Nicky,

Firstly, try this.  Hold down your home button, until you hear a beep, then
speak a question or phrase, anything.  What's the weather today for example.
Tell us if Siri is answering questions like that.

All the best

Hahaha, how?

They don't make it easy for non-techy people. :) I feel so frustrated,  I'm
a relatively clever person, but this has flummoxed me beyond anything

Hi,

I believe you need to turn Siri on though.

That's the drama! No matter where I looked, I had no siri in the settings.
On my Ipad mini it shows up, but not in the Iphone. It was connected to wifi
and everything, but wouldn't work. Frustrating, as it's a good idea in
theory, if only I could get the blasted thing to work! :)

Interesting.  What about calling people with Siri to start with, until
you're used to it?

Hi Steve

Well, the simple reason is that it refused to ring the right people, and I
was terrified of ringing the emergency services or someone like that. I'd
love to be one of these people who can just pick up an Iphone and away you
go, but I'm just not, unfortunately. It just wouldn't do what I asked it to

Hi,

I'm not really sure why you can use the iPad so well, but can't use the
iPhone?  They are the same beast, just a different size.  You would enjoy it
if you persevered.

All the best

Hi, I'm really late to the party with at least one of these I know, but
after having a really fantastic help session with someone last week I've
finally learned to use be my eyes! I've also downloaded an ap called seeing
AI, it lets you read documents, handwriting, take pictures and also will
recognise certain people. I even managed to take a picture of my guide dog,
although admittedly I was too close and only got his eyes and the tip of his
nose :)

I've given up with the Iphone, its not for me, but I'm really enjoying my
new aps on the Ipad mini
