the ipod shuffle does not necessarily play randomly. This is a total
misconception as far as I am aware. There is a control that can be set to play
in order or randomly.

The creative player refered to appears to be a similar product but about half
the price.

Graham

Will this thing "Talk" then? What softwear would we need to do this? I've
just had a word with my son who says it won't be any different from the ipod
shuffle, that only plays randomly and doesn't talk. Curious Christine.

I've ordered one of these from Amazon at £27.99 plus p & p totalling
altogether £30.12. It arrives tomorrow and sounds from the write-ups very good.
But at that price if it's not what I want I can give it away as a present and
not lose any sleep.

Just read about the upcoming release of a new screenless audible
compatible mp3 player, at under £30 for 1gg version. and no proprietory
software like Itunes, just use it like any USB drive.
