Hi
SAVI -Surrey Association for VI , have started selling the Net Gem in their resource centre. They told me they were being supported by the RNIB, so perhaps what Adrian suggested has happened.

As I understand it, it isn't the I-player which they have stopped
producing but only the AD add-on so I suppose there is always the
potential for someone such as maybe the RNIB to take on that component
and offer it as an add on.

That's very bad news. I was hoping one day to get the IPlayer whenever I
can access Freeview. There are software and hardware devices that allows
you to watch freeview on your PC, but indeed where does it leave us in
terms of accessibility, particularly those who don't own a computer? Any
thoughts on this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi all, I remember there being some talk about the IPlayer on here
recently and thought people would be interested to know that according

to the news for October (which is a service on the Iplayer) NetGem
will no longer be making the IPlayer.

I wander where this leaves access to freeview on the TV?
