Hello,

I hope I can be forgiven for posting a topic that is not strictly access
related. It is still computer/IT related and I am using this place as a last
resort. Since this is not an access issue I, unless moderator/s aprove this to
be discussed on here, erge listers to post me privatly with any possible
slutions/suggestions. Again, I know that there has been a lot of “off topics”
posts and that Barry have been very strict on banning people from the list, but
I believe that I can not be considered as someone who regularly posts off
topics and so I hope that I will not be band, if you think I have overstepped
please let me know so and I will never do it again.

The problemstarted with trying to apply a .net framework related windows
update. Unfortunately I can’t remember the windows update or the error code of
this update since for reasons that will become apparent afterwoods I have no
option to install this update. After a lot of research with people having the
same error, it has been suggested to repare .net framework 4. This did not
succeed throwing up a “general trust failure” issue at me. After that I
uninstalled .net framework 4, then tried to run the installer to reinstall it.
After the instalation I got a following error.

Final Result: Installation failed with error code: (0x800B0100), "No signature
was present in the subject. " (Elapsed time: 0 00:02:23).

I have also used kmicrosoft .net frmaework cleanup utilitty, I have installed
.net framework 1, which istalled fine, tried unsuccessfully to install .net
framework 3.5 sp1. So at the moment this windows update is not appearing any
more, but I’m also obviously running the system without .net framework.

As you can see I have tried a lot of research but no matter what I did the .net
framework 4 is not installing. Not sure what to do, obviously I want to avoid
reformating. I guess I could just run this system without .net framework
installed and hope I won’t really need it.

Again sorry for the off topic posts and if anyone has any suggestion the help
would be appreciated I’m stuck!
