Windows XP comes with SAPI5 already. To find out, try launching Narrator. Microsoft Sam should start talking.

 Hi Sunil,

Sounds like he has no SAPI voices installed. Then it wouldn't let you do it. But I thought Sam came with every XP machine.

 All the best

When you say the tickbox in iTunes won't tick what do you mean exactly? Can you find the relevant option? What happens when you try to tick it?
