Hi No as the subject says, this is my first I device so I have a lot to learn, I thought that wasthe case, I am picking up several wifi connections on my pc so hopefully I can get them on my ipad too, I would imagine some of them would be closed to the ipad as they are my 3g access points, will see how it goes, when I was in the uk recently, I picked up wifi quite frequently when I was out and about, it isn't quite the same here, parts of the area are too rural for that kind of thing unfortunately. Thanks. The only devices that take SIM cards are the iPhone and iPad's with cellular capability. In the latter case, you can only access data services, you can't use an iPad as a phone, though this will be something you will be able to do very soon if you also have an iPhone. All the best, Ibrahim. -----Original Message----- From: john gallagher Sent: Friday, July 25, 2014 9:00 AM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: my first apple device hi there i thought the first thing you should do is to put a sim in to it otherwise it will not work as a phone. ----- Original Message ----- From: Ibrahim Gucukoglu <ibrahimGucukoglu@xxxxxxxx> To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Date: Friday, 25 July 2014 7.32 am Subject: [access-uk] Re: my first apple device > > > Hi. > > Siri wont be available until you complete the setup process of your > device, > so using it is not an option I'm afraid, even for turning on voice over. > You must either use the triple click home method or connect your device to > a > computer. > > All the best, Ibrahim. > > -----Original Message----- > From: Adrien Collins > Sent: Thursday, July 24, 2014 8.03 PM > To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: [access-uk] Re: my first apple device > > Hi Martin > > Yes I have a good signal but no spare sim card, can I put > any sim card in it? > > Regards > > Adrien > > > -----Original Message----- > From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of martin wilsher > Sent: Thursday, July 24, 2014 12.05 PM > To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: [access-uk] Re: my first apple device > > If you have good mobile signal, you could, at a pinch, use > siri to turn on > vo, > > -----Original Message----- > From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of > Ian Macrae > Sent: 24 July 2014 10.58 > To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: [access-uk] Re: my first apple device > > If the triple home click doesn't do the job and if you have > no sight you > will require the assistance of someone who can see to turn > VO on.
