The only other thing I can thing of is what version of CDEX do you have? I
have 3.51 which I believe is the latest one. If you have anything less,
update it, and see what happens.

Its strange; I deleted the .X from the file extension and transferred the
tracks to my MP3 player and they played fine and sounded great.
The irritating thing is that I'm having to check the file extensions on
every track I rip before copying them to my MP3 player which slows the
process of transferring four hundred CDs!
