Hi John,
There is currently no way of muting speech with Talkback that I know of.
This is a down side.
All the best
steve

Subject: [access-uk] more findings with android and braille
hi all well very early start this morning and now been back for two hours
where i managed to have another try with my tablet using braille.
i must say i did connect again but as i said in my earlier post it's a bit
of messing about changing the keyboard to the braille hardware keyboard.
so, i actually put my old work file in google docks and was able to read it.
the only thing is on ios you can press space with m to mute speech is their
any way to do this with braille back. i could edit the dock but i now must
see if i can do a search to say get to near the bottom so then i can edit
it.
i went on the web and braille works very well but again just to use a stand
alone is much faster and with one device much much more convenient. i now
will try the email to see how that works.
again, i must say how impressed android is coming on and for #149 was it
this samsung tablet is much better now than i could imagine
some quick ways to do things is to double tap at the bottom left of the
screen to go to the recent apps but again i must say with the google docks
app it's quite good but a lot of messing about.
