[access-uk] more adacity queries?

hi guys, I'm looking for someone who has an on-board sound card, and has managed to find the do not moniter check box in Volume Control.
I have a DELL 2400, with such a sound card. My system is runningXP PRO & Jaws 9. 

I cannot seem to be able to find the do not moniter check box anywhere.
I'm trying to find this check box so I can uncheck it to allow me to use Audacity to record Vocals over MP3 Files. I have been advised this is what is preventing me from recording my Vocal track over the MP3. At the moment, I'm only hearing the mp3 file, and not the Vocal track after completing the project in Audacity. 

Any help would be apreciated indeed,
